World Bee Day is celebrated on 20 May to mark the importance of pollinators, the threats they face and the benefit they have for the whole Earth and in particular for agriculture, contributing to a sustainable benefit .

  1. It is the most important living thing on the planet.
  2. 84% of global crops depend on bees.
  3. Bees manage to balance the ecology and support ecosystems.
  4. They are responsible for the fertilisation and reproduction of trees and flowering and fruiting plants.
  5. They are pollinators and thanks to their pollination they regulate the climate, produce oxygen and capture carbon.
  6. 1/3 of the world’s food depends on pollinators.
  7. They work every day, together with other living beings, to maintain the balance of the world.
  8. To get a spoonful of honey, the bee will have to travel through at least 4000 flowers.
  9. Bees hibernate during the winter months.
  10. They produce natural products such as honey, wax, bee pollen, royal jelly and propolis.

If we do not take care of them, vegetables, fruits, cereals, grains and plants would become extinct in a very short time; temperatures and pollution would increase. In addition, oxygen production would be reduced, putting us in great danger.
