Thanks to the bioclimatic chamber in our laboratory, we can simulate temperature, light and relative humidity under controlled conditions. This allows us to carry out preliminary tests aimed at studying how plants will behave, how products and substances will work, in any region of the world or under any circumstances. Therefore, the climatic chamber is a very useful and differential tool, which is used as a previous step to transfer these tests to the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On this occasion, Econatur<\/a>’s Innovation department shows us the climatic chamber test with the aim of studying how biostimulation technology influences plants subjected to climatic and water stress. This study is carried out at 3 key moments for the plant: 1. transplanting, 2. setting and 3. filling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this trial, tomato plants were used, specifically tomatoes of a special variety for laboratory work, the Micro Tom variety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, the plants were subjected to water stress for a specific period of time, and then our biostimulants<\/a> were applied to a certain number of plants, leaving other plants without application to be used as control plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to study how the plants reacted to this situation, a hydrogen peroxide accumulation test was carried out on the leaf tissues. As can be seen in the comparative image of the video, the accumulation of hydrogen peroxide in the control leaves is much higher than in the plants that were treated with Econatur’s biostimulation technology, where a healthier leaf was observed, with hardly any presence of hydrogen peroxide. Therefore, the analyses show that the plants treated with Econatur biostimulation were in better condition than the untreated (control) plants. Thanks to this trial, it can be concluded that plants subjected to climatic stress can recover quickly and satisfactorily through the application of biostimulation technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
